Marlins Promote Jacob Miller To Double-A
3 months agoThe Miami Marlins have promoted pitching prospect Jacob Miller to Double-A Pensacola. Miller, 20, has spent the season at High-A Beloit where he was 5-4 with a 4.02 ERA and 65 strikeouts in 16 starts. Miller has a funky delivery, where he fires in his fastballs in the low-to-mid 90's and has very good spin on his breaking pitches. One of the best high school arms in the 2022 draft, where he was selected by the Marlins in the second round, Miller is still a few seasons away from a potential impact at the big-league level, where scouts project, he can be a middle of the rotation arm. The Marlins acquired a lot of talent during the trade deadline, so managers shouldn't be scared off with his No. 23 ranking in the Marlins system per MLB Pipeline. Despite being a few seasons away from a potential debut, he could be a sneaky option for managers in dynasty leagues to investigate.
