Welcome, RotoBallers, to our Two-Start Pitcher Streamers article -- Waiver Wire Streamers and Starts for Week 20, from August 5 to August 11.
Each week of this fantasy baseball season, this fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups column will identify starting pitchers expected to make two starts in the upcoming week. These pitchers can be quite valuable in H2H formats, as two strong starts can put you in the driver's seat for the week.
We will be looking at pitchers who are less than 50% owned in Yahoo leagues as potential streamers or fades. Listed will be those who are rostered over 50%, those who are best available under 50%, and risky options under 50%. There are a few other two-start pitchers available, but they should be avoided.

Best Available Two-Start Pitcher Streamers for Fantasy Baseball
David Festa (8% Rostered), Minnesota Twins
Scheduled Starts: at CHC, vs. CLE
The Minnesota pitching prospect has finally begun to turn the corner at the big league level, holding a 2.89 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and a 3:13 BB:K ratio in his past 9 ⅔ frames.

His first matchup against the Cubs should go quite well, giving him a nice cushion despite his tough matchup at the end of the week.
Sean Manaea (40% Rostered), New York Mets
Scheduled Starts: vs. at STL, at SEA
Manaea dazzled in his last start against the Minnesota Twins, posting a season-high 11 punchouts across seven two-hit innings. His matchups this week are favorable, especially with the Mariners carrying the sport's worst strikeout rate.
JP Sears (15% Rostered), Oakland Athletics
Scheduled Starts: vs. CWS, at TOR
The 28-year-old dominated in his latest start against the Giants as he tossed seven shutout frames with nine punchouts.

Facing the White Sox and Blue Jays this week, Sears is an intriguing play in all formats.
Patrick Corbin (7% Rostered), Washington Nationals
Scheduled Starts: vs. SFG, vs. LAA
Despite getting blown up in his previous start against the Arizona Diamondbacks by allowing 10 earned runs, the former World Series champion strung together a solid stretch earlier in July.
From June 13 to July 25, the southpaw posted a 3.88 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and a 12:42 BB:K ratio. Facing the Giants, who sold Jorge Soler and have several infielders on the injured list, and the struggling Angels, Corbin could be a sneaky upside play in deeper leagues.
Risky Two-Start Streamer Picks for Fantasy Baseball
Colin Rea (44% Rostered), Milwaukee Brewers
Scheduled Starts: at ATL, vs. CIN
Rea makes the list as an unfavorable option, mostly due to his underwhelming 18.6% K rate. In addition, facing the Atlanta Braves and division-rival Reds are not ideal matchups. His 9.3% barrel rate and 41.6% hard-hit rate indicate that he could be in for a rough week.
James Paxton (23% Rostered), Boston Red Sox
Scheduled Starts: at KC, vs. HOU
Paxton's return to Boston did not go as planned. He gave up six runs (three earned) and six hits to the Seattle Mariners.
This week, he will travel to Kauffman Stadium and then host the Houston Astros. The 35-year-old has very low underlying metrics, which suggests his struggles could continue through most of the second half. These matchups are far from great and he will not provide you much to any strikeout upside.
Kyle Freeland (10% Rostered), Colorado Rockies
Scheduled Starts: vs. NYM, vs. ATL
The southpaw logged five consecutive quality starts from June 23 to July 20 but has begun to regress to his career averages. This week, facing the red-hot Mets and strong Atlanta Braves both at Coors Field makes him a must-fade.
Tyler Mahle (5% Rostered), Texas Rangers
Scheduled Starts: vs. HOU, at NYY
Mahle is set to make two starts this upcoming week in his return to the big leagues on Monday. The 29-year-old underwent Tommy John surgery.
In other good Rangers’ news, Tyler Mahle struck out the first batter he faced in his rehab assignment.

Through 13 innings of rehab work, the right-hander posted a strong 2.03 ERA and 0.83 WHIP. Mahle should be worth rostering but is best left on your bench for his first week back, especially when he is projected to face the Houston Astros and the Yankees in the Bronx.
Bailey Falter (5% Rostered), Pittsburgh Pirates
Scheduled Starts: vs. SD, at LAD
The Pittsburgh right-hander faces two tough lineups this week. He has not generated strikeouts at all, sitting toward the bottom among all pitchers with a 16.6% K rate and 19.5% whiff rate, and these matchups will not do him any favors.
Andre Pallante (10% Rostered), St. Louis Cardinals
Scheduled Starts: vs. NYM, at KC
Pallante could be worth a look in NL-only formats, but in most standard leagues, it is best to leave him on the bench. The Mets have been on an impressive stretch over the past handful of weeks, while the Royals have scored 44 runs across the final eight games of July.
Pallante does well limiting hard contact, with a stellar 4.2% barrel rate that could help him limit damage. However, his underwhelming strikeout numbers leave much to be desired.
Eduardo Rodriguez (33% Rostered), Arizona Diamondbacks
Scheduled Starts: at CLE, vs. PHI
Another pitcher who is set to make his 2024 debut is on the risky list. Rodriguez faces two of the best teams in the sport: the Guardians and the Phillies.
Similar to Mahle, you can stash the southpaw if you like, and then wait and see how he holds up before adding him to your weekly lineup.
