Giancarlo Stanton Not Playing On Tuesday
5 months agoNew York Yankees outfielder/designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton will not play on Tuesday, according to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. Hoch reported that Yankee skipper Aaron Boone explained that this is part of the plan to ease the 34-year-old back into action. Stanton missed over a month due to a strained hamstring and was just activated off the injured list on Monday. The slugger should be expected to return to the starting nine on Wednesday. Through 70 games this season, Stanton has enjoyed a nice bounce-back season with a .242/.301/.485 line and 28 home runs compared to the underwhelming .191/.275/.420 line he posted last summer. Stanton should remain a popular play in DFS in favorable matchups and be worth starting in most leagues going forward.
