Tyler Phillips Tosses Complete Game Saturday
4 months agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Tyler Phillips threw a complete game shutout in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Guardians. The 26-year-old allowed just four hits and one walk over nine innings of work while striking out four. It was the second consecutive outing in which the righty did not allow a run, and he's now 3-0 with a 1.80 ERA (3.43 FIP), 0.76 WHIP, and 2:19 BB:K over 25 innings pitched. His next start lines up with the Mariners next Friday on the road, the team that strikes out the most in all of baseball, so he could be a solid waiver addition for fantasy teams looking for some short-term pitching help.
