The 2024 NFL preseason is nearly here, meaning regular season football is less than six weeks away.
Fantasy players love the depth at the wide receiver position this year. They can find plug-and-play starters in the middle rounds at wide receiver. Three mid-round options are Cooper Kupp, DeVonta Smith, and Terry McLaurin.
However, which wide receiver should fantasy players draft in 2024? Let’s dive into it!

Cooper Kupp 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook
Unfortunately, Kupp has struggled with injuries since his NFL record-setting 2021 season. The veteran wide receiver has missed 38.2% of the games the past two years, including five in 2023. Yet, he had a solid season, totaling 59 receptions on 95 targets for 737 receiving yards and five touchdowns. While Puka Nacua is the new No. 1 wide receiver in Los Angeles, Kupp should have a critical role in the passing attack.

DeVonta Smith 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook
Smith signed a massive contract extension with the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason. The young receiver had 81 receptions on 112 targets for 1,066 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 2023, seeing his receptions, targets, and yards decline from the year before. However, the former Alabama star is one of the NFL's most dangerous No. 2 wide receivers. Furthermore, Smith has league-winning upside if A.J. Brown misses significant time with an injury.

Terry McLaurin 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook
The veteran wide receiver is coming off his fourth consecutive season with over 1,000 receiving yards despite playing his entire career with awful quarterback production. McLaurin had 70 receptions on 132 targets for 1,002 yards and four touchdowns last year. Yet, fantasy players shouldn’t be surprised if the star receiver has a career year in 2024 after the Washington Commanders drafted Jayden Daniels.

Who Should I Draft?
All three wide receivers are solid mid-round draft picks for fantasy players. However, Kupp has the most upside of the trio. He was once the overall WR1 with Matthew Stafford under center. While Nacua had a historical rookie season, he had only eight more targets than the veteran in the 12 games they played together in 2023. Kupp’s days as an elite WR1 for fantasy players are over. Yet, the veteran still has high-end WR2 upside.
