Brody Hopkins Continues Strong Run
5 months agoSeattle Mariners starting pitching prospect Brody Hopkins continued his strong run at Single-A Modesto on Wednesday evening as he tossed six shutout innings. He allowed just four hits and two free passes. He tallied eight punchouts. Over his past five starts, the 22-year-old has held a stellar 1.75 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and an 11:35 BB:K ratio. Overall, through his first 83 innings of minor league ball, the right-hander has posted a strong 2.90 ERA and 1.22 WHIP. Hopkins is considered the 22nd-best prospect in the Seattle system on MLB.com and remains several seasons away from his major league debut.
