Gleyber Torres Homers In Second Straight Game
4 months agoNew York Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's loss versus the New York Yankees. The home run would be his second in as many days for the upcoming free-agent. Torres has been a minor disappointment for managers this season, but the All-Star break may have been what he needed to reset his mind and body. It should also be noted that Torres was in the No. 1 spot of the lineup Wednesday and it will be interesting to see if sticks there. For the season, Torres is now hitting .232 with 10 homers, 37 RBI and four stolen bases in 353 at-bats. Hopefully the last few games are a sign of good things to come as managers have been patient long enough with the second baseman.
