4 months agoNew York Yankees outfield prospect Jasson Dominguez (oblique) took live batting practice in Tampa on Monday and is traveling to join Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday to resume playing in games "within a week," according to manager Aaron Boone. The Yankees' top prospect, per MLB Pipeline, Dominguez is ahead of schedule in his return from a left-oblique strain that he suffered in mid-June, although the Bombers aren't going to rush the 21-year-old back. He was already rehabbing from right-elbow surgery earlier this season before injuring his oblique, and there's no guarantee that the Martian will head to the big leagues at the end of his rehab assignment. But when Dominguez does return to the Bronx, he will be an immediate contributor in all fantasy leagues. The Dominican outfielder has hit .356/.404/.609 with a 1.014 OPS, six homers and 13 RBI in 23 minor-league games in 2024.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
