Tyler Glasnow Throws Simulated Game On Friday, Likely To Start Wednesday
4 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers right-hander Tyler Glasnow (back) threw a three-inning simulated game that featured 58 pitches at Dodger Stadium on Friday before the team's series opener against the visiting Boston Red Sox and said he'll likely come off the 15-day injured list to start on Wednesday against the division-rival San Francisco Giants. Glasnow won't need to go on a minor-league rehab assignment before returning to help a much-maligned Dodgers' starting rotation early in the second half of the season. Even though it will be his first start off the IL next week, fantasy managers will want to get the hard-throwing 30-year-old back into all starting lineups against San Fran next week. Glasnow has a 33.6% strikeout rate, which is second in the big leagues, and has gone 8-5 with a 3.47 ERA and 0.93 WHIP with 143 K's in 109 innings over 18 starts in his first year in Hollywood.
