Coby Mayo Looks To Continue Big Season In Second Half
3 months agoBaltimore Orioles third base prospect Coby Mayo had a huge first half for Triple-A Norfolk, and fantasy managers are hoping that the club will give him a chance to show the world what he has on the main stage. In the first half for Norfolk, Mayo, the No. 15 overall prospect per MLB Pipeline, put on a clinic with a .301 batting average to go along with 19 home runs and 56 RBI in 65 games. The Orioles are one of the best teams in baseball, and with Ramon Urias not doing much at third base, it would seem that the Orioles' best option moving forward would be Mayo. The Orioles also have one of the deepest systems and should be active on the trade market, but it is unknown if Mayo is one of the prospects that the club would refuse to include in a deal. Regardless, it is reasonable to think that Mayo will make his MLB debut at some point in the second half, which makes him worth rostering or stashing in all formats.
