4 months agoThe Chicago White Sox took outfielder Nick McLain out of Arizona State with the 78th overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft. McLain is the brother of Reds middle infielder Matt McLain, who came in fifth in Rookie of the Year voting last season but is currently on the injured list. Nick McLain is a switch-hitter who has both solid hit and power tools, but his scouting report indicates his left side is his better side. The 21-year-old homered in five consecutive games to start May, so the power is certainly there, and he could tap into more of it with age.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBaller
