Ezequiel Tovar Hits First Two Homers Of July
4 months agoColorado Rockies shortstop Ezequiel Tovar finished his first half in style on Sunday, popping two homers in an 8-5 victory over the New York Mets. Tovar finished the day 3-for-4 with two runs, two homers, and four RBI. After a miserable stretch in early July where he went 0-for-28 with 11 strikeouts, Tovar has gone 11-for-25 (.440) in his last six games, hitting safely in each of them. The 22-year-old has been solid for fantasy this year, but his advanced numbers don't back it up and he has been trending down for some time. His fantasy owners will have to hope that his last few games get him on track for the second half.
