Is Ryan Preece A Core Play In DFS At Pocono?
5 months agoRyan Preece will start 36th in Sunday's Great American Getaway from Pocono Raceway. Before last week's chaotic race at Chicago, which resulted in a 34th-place finish for the Stewart-Haas star, Preece had been on a bit of a hot streak, finishing fourth and 11th in the two prior races. While these finishes may not seem like a big deal for your average race fan, for DFS players they are, as his efforts earned him a spot in the DraftKings optimal lineup both weeks. Considering that he has shown the ability to move up through the field in recent weeks, the 33-year-old has to be in consideration when building your DFS lineups this weekend. Although it should be noted that the seven-year Cup veteran has been underwhelming in his seven starts at this track, having just one top-10 finish, it is also important to remember that he does not have to do much to return value given how low his salary is this week. At a starting position of 36th, Preece would only have to finish 24th to return value on his $6,100 DraftKings salary, something he is more than capable of considering his average finish at this track is 23.9. Given how little is expected of him in this contest, and considering he has looked strong at times this summer, the No. 41 should be considered a core play in DFS this weekend at Pocono.
