Miami Heat forward Nikola Jovic (ankle, toe) is expected to be ready for training camp. While a Serbian outlet indicated the 2022 No. 27 overall pick sustained a fracture in his ankle joint, Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald reported he has an ankle sprain and a fractured toe. Either way, Jovic's condition has improved, although he may not be able to participate in the 2024 Summer Olympics. The 21-year-old got off to a slow start in 2023-24. However, he finished the season by averaging 12.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in eight games in April. With Caleb Martin now in Philadelphia, the door is open for Jovic to earn more minutes during the 2024-25 campaign, so his statistical contributions could improve.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

Miami Heat forward Nikola Jovic (hand) is dealing with a broken hand and is considered questionable for Friday's play-in game against the Atlanta Hawks. According to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, head coach Erik Spoelstra said that he expects both Jovic and Pelle Larsson (ankle) to play. Still, it seems unlikely that Jovic will be used even if he is upgraded. The third-year forward hasn't played since February 23, and hasn't played more than 46 games in a season yet. This year, he averaged a career-high in minutes per game (25.1) and posted 10.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.7 threes per game. Kyle Anderson and Haywood Highsmith will likely continue to receive some more minutes off of the bench in his place.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBaller

Miami Heat forward Nikola Jovic (hand) has been listed as questionable for Friday's play-in game against the Atlanta Hawks. The 21-year-old is making progress toward his return to the lineup, but he may miss another game on Friday due to a fractured hand. Jovic's inclusion in the lineup would provide an additional frontcourt option for the Heat, who have been without the England-born Serbian since late February. During the regular season, Jovic averaged 10.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 25.1 minutes, primarily coming off the bench.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Miami Heat forward Nikola Jovic (hand) has been ruled out for Wednesday's play-in action against the Chicago Bulls. He will sit out a 28th consecutive contest due to a fractured right hand after the team downgraded Jovic from questionable to out. The questionable tag suggests that Jovic isn't far from being able to make a comeback, and his next opportunity to do so will come on Friday night against the Atlanta Hawks if the Heat win Wednesday's game.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Miami Heat forward Nikola Jovic (hand) seems to be nearing his return to the lineup, as he has been listed as questionable for Wednesday's play-in game against the Chicago Bulls. The 21-year-old missed the final 27 regular-season games due to a fractured right hand. Jovic was cleared to resume on-court activities in late March, so he has been building up his form for quite some time. Before breaking his hand in February, Jovic was enjoying a fine campaign, averaging 10.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 25.1 minutes.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
