Charlie Blackmon Returns On Friday
5 months agoColorado Rockies outfielder/designated hitter Charlie Blackmon (hamstring) has returned to the starting lineup for Friday's series opener versus the hosting New York Mets and left-hander Sean Manaea, serving as the DH and hitting leadoff. Blackmon tweaked his right hamstring while making a diving catch on Monday and missed the last three games as a result. But despite a left-hander being on the mound, the 38-year-old lefty hitter is back in action and hitting atop the lineup in the Big Apple. He could be a nice DFS sleeper on Friday, too, as he has a .357 career average and 1.114 OPS in 14 at-bats against Manaea. Blackmon, a four-time All-Star, is no longer a must-start fantasy outfielder these days and comes into Friday's contest hitting .256/.325/.402 with only four home runs, 29 RBI and five steals in 71 games this year.
