Brandon Pfaadt Earns 10th Quality Start
4 months agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Brandon Pfaadt put together a strong performance in Thursday's 1-0 victory versus the Atlanta Braves. Earning his 10th quality start of the season, the right-hander tossed six frames and allowed three hits, zero runs, zero walks and sent four batters back to the dugout via the strikeout. Pfaadt was hit hard in April to open the season, but it has been smooth sailing for the most part since. In 19 starts, Pfaadt is 4-6 with a 3.97 ERA and 104 strikeouts in 113 1/3 innings. Although he hasn't racked up many victories, he does enough across the board to justify being rostered in mixed leagues moving forward.
