Padres Demote Adam Mazur
5 months agoAfter another poor performance on Tuesday, the San Diego Padres have demoted pitcher Adam Mazur to Triple-A El Paso. Mazur allowed five runs on Tuesday against a weak Seattle Mariners offense and it will remain to be seen if he will be back with the club following the upcoming All-Star break. The right-hander has pitched very well throughout his minor league career, but has looked overmatched in his debut season in the big leagues. Mazur has been up and down with the Padres this season, but his 7.84 ERA in seven starts is evidence that he needs more seasoning on the farm. For now, Mazur is only worth holding onto in dynasty leagues.
