Phillies Officially Activate Kyle Schwarber From The Injured List
5 months agoThe Philadelphia Phillies officially activated outfielder/designated hitter Kyle Schwarber (groin) from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday, and he's serving as the DH and batting in his customary leadoff spot for the Phils in a showdown against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers and right-hander Bobby Miller. This move had been expected since the weekend, so fantasy managers should have been ready to return Schwarber to their starting lineups everywhere. The 31-year-old left-handed slugger is a must-start when healthy and has quickly recovered from a minor groin pull. He's hitless in two career at-bats against Miller, but Schwarber has elite power and is currently hitting well above his career average of .229 at .250 (75-for-300) while adding 17 home runs, 49 RBI and a league-leading 59 walks in 79 games.
