Jackson Holliday Getting On Base In Bunches Over Last Nine Games
5 months agoSince returning from injury June 25, Baltimore Orioles infield prospect Jackson Holliday has drawn 15 walks in nine games and has gone 8-for-27 (.296) at the plate, resulting in an outstanding .548 OBP over that stretch. MLB's top prospect had a rough go of it during his initial call-up with the O's but owns a .273-8-29-65-5 line in 59 games at Triple-A this season. He's also walked more than he is striking out, posting an impressive 69:64 BB:K so far. There isn't an urgent need to get him back to the big league club at the moment, but surely continuing to get on base will help his case for a recall when the need arises.
