FFPC Fantasy Football Rankings: Best Ball Drafts (2024)

Scott Engel's top 200 fantasy football draft rankings for 2024 Best Ball leagues on FFPC. His FFPC rankings are for tight end premium scoring and best ball.

Fantasy football Best Ball league players are very busy already, as they have been actively participating in drafts since the NFL Draft concluded. There are various ways to compete in the format, many of which are featured on the Fantasy Football Players Championship (FFPC) platform.

No matter the type of seasonal league you choose to join, these FFPC Tight End Premium style rankings will serve as a solid foundation to work from. While WRs and RBs are awarded one point per reception, TEs are awarded 1.5 points for every catch in FFPC leagues. So, TE values are naturally elevated and are reflected in my rankings here.

The rankings below, which follow the analysis portion of the article, can be applied to all types of seasonal Best Ball formats when considering the player ranks by position. I highlight some of my favorite players to target for all Best Ball participants. You can also view the RotoBaller staff fantasy football best ball rankings.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Running Back Rankings Analysis

Derrick Henry (RB6): Last season, the former Titan registered less than six fantasy points in a game four times. That is not happening on the NFL’s No. 1 rushing offense from last season, where Henry will have Lamar Jackson preventing defenses from keying on him like they did during the Tennessee days.

De'Von Achane (RB8): The dynamic Dolphin ranked fifth in fantasy points per game at RB last season and gets a boost inside the top 10 in Best Ball formats.

Aaron Jones (RB15): The ex-Packer goes to the other side of the rivalry, and still demonstrated excellent vision, patience, power, and breakaway ability when healthy last season. Including the playoffs, he finished the campaign with five consecutive 100-yard rushing games.

Kenneth Walker III (RB16): Seattle’s No. 1 RB recorded six outings of 16-plus fantasy points last year. Even with Zach Charbonnet possibly taking on more of a load in a timeshare, Walker is capable of delivering a big day in any given week. He can score from anywhere on the field.

David Montgomery (RB20): After rushing for 13 TDs, Montgomery’s role is unlikely to change much in 2024. He finished as RB15 in fantasy points per game in 2023.

Raheem Mostert (RB23): He stayed healthy for the second consecutive year and totaled 21 TDs from scrimmage. Mostert finished as RB4 in FFPG in 2023, and while reaching 20 TDs may not be repeatable, Miami’s other primary RB should still be a main goal-line finisher. While some may avoid Mostert because he is 32 years old, keep in mind that the career log only includes four years of 100-plus rushing attempts.

Zack Moss (RB25): Cincinnati’s new lead RB is undervalued in many formats, being drafted in the 30-35 range at RB. Moss is positioned to be the primary goal-line-area RB for a prime AFC offensive attack.

Rico Dowdle (RB36): One of my favorite value plays as a RB4 type, I believe Dowdle can outshine Ezekiel Elliott in many weeks. He is a determined runner who knows how to make defenders miss.

Chase Brown (RB37): I do like both top Bengals RBs for Best Ball purposes. Brown is a real spark plug who can race past defenses for long gainers.

Jaylen Wright (RB51): As much as I covet the Dolphins’ No. 1 and No. 2 RBs in Best Ball leagues, they come with injury concerns. Achane missed time last year and Mostert has battled injuries in the past. If Wright gets into the mix, he is another upside play in an explosive offense.

Wide Receiver Rankings Analysis

Garrett Wilson (WR8): Aaron Rodgers has slipped a bit in terms of arm strength and mobility, yet he should still perform quite well. Wilson will realize his significant potential in 2024, and if you wanted to take him as soon as the WR6 slot to be aggressive, I won’t argue with such a move.

Drake London (WR12): London is sort of a risk/reward target. He is being pushed up draft boards with a major QB upgrade, but he has yet to prove himself at a higher level over a full season. If you do want London, though, he has to be drafted in the top 15 or so. If expectations are met, Atlanta’s WR1 could prove to be a league-winning type of difference-maker.

DK Metcalf (WR15): The Seahawks’ biggest offensive threat averaged a career-high 16.9 yards per catch last season, and Seattle will aggressively seek out big plays often under new offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb.

Tee Higgins (WR16): As he is unhappy about the contract situation with Cincinnati, a healthy Higgins could deliver a satisfying bounce-back season that includes several spike statistical weeks.

Cooper Kupp (WR21): He was overshadowed by the Puka Nacua breakout in 2023. In 12 games he played in, though, Kupp surpassed 15-plus fantasy points five times.

Christian Kirk (WR24): With Calvin Ridley gone, Kirk will be the unrivaled WR1 for the Jaguars. He certainly can sail past the 80-reception and 1,100-yard barriers again.

Calvin Ridley (WR27): I was not surprised by Ridley’s erratic production last year in a crowded offense while coming off a long layoff. Now, he can regain his better form playing with young gunner Will Levis, and might exceed this ranking.

Marquise Brown (WR31): A usually overrated fantasy target in the past, Brown is now in the best QB situation of his career and may come through with impressive higher spike weeks if and when Rashee Rice misses games.

Joshua Palmer (WR38): The Chargers brass seems to believe Palmer can function as a consistent top WR for Justin Herbert now. He averaged 15.3 yards per reception in 2023, the highest mark of a three-year career.

Jahan Dotson (WR50): Jayden Daniels has the potential to help Dotson emerge as a more regular big-play threat.

Tight End Rankings Analysis

Dalton Kincaid (TE5): Most fantasy football players already know he is a hot subject of discussion heading into the upcoming season. Kincaid has significant promise in Best Ball and FFPC TE premium leagues, as he might be the No. 1 pass-catcher for the Bills. At WR for Buffalo, Keon Coleman is a rookie, and Curtis Samuel and Khalil Shakir don’t appear to be consistent playmaking types. Kincaid may transform into a Mark Andrews type in 2024 as a clear top pass-catcher from his NFL team at the TE position.

George Kittle (TE8): Consistency was an issue for Kittle last season, and he obviously has to share a lot of targets and touches on the San Francisco offense. He still finished as TE2 overall, though, and averaged a career-best 15.7 yards per catch.

Brock Bowers (TE10): Much like Sam LaPorta and Trey McBride, Bowers has the promise to make a fantasy impact early in his career. If you don’t draft one of the top eight or so TEs, take the shot on the potential for Best Ball purposes.

Pat Freiermuth (TE14): The Steelers TE has an apparent opportunity to operate as the No. 2 pass-catcher this year. But Russell Wilson has never consistently connected with TEs throughout his career, so inconsistency may be a concern. If Justin Fields does take over at QB at some point, though, Freiermuth’s outlook can improve. He is worth the gamble to see if Wilson does indeed target him frequently.

Mike Gesicki (TE19): I am not really a fantasy backer of Gesicki. For the last six years, we have heard that he is a breakout type, or on the verge of being one. Yet, we have never seen him supply frequent high-quality fantasy production. The TE position has never been a consistent target in the Cincinnati offense, either. If you believe that 2024 is the year for Gesicki, though, take the shot just inside the top 20 at TE.

Tight end premium league players can see more guys to target and avoid from the position in this Overvalued and Undervalued TEs feature.

Quarterback Rankings Analysis

Kyler Murray (QB7): If Murray can stay healthy, he will be a true fantasy weapon in all formats. His prime rushing abilities combined with having Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride as his top targets elevate his fantasy appeal again heading into the new season.

Tua Tagovailoa (QB11): As noted by FantasyPros, it was a tale of two halves for Tagovailoa in 2023. He was QB5 in fantasy football in the first half of the season, and he was QB20 in the second half. You can cope with inconsistency better in Best Ball formats. I believe the Miami passer, however, will be more steady this year.

Jayden Daniels (QB13): I don’t have the dual-threat rookie ranked as high as some others just based on the rushing promise. He has to prove himself first. If you are targeting Daniels, though, the move might have to be made a bit earlier than where I have him ranked.

Aaron Rodgers (QB19): I highlighted Rodgers’ minor late-career shortcomings earlier in this article. He still can be determined to prove any naysayers wrong, so take him as a second half of the QB2 field target.

Will Levis (QB22): The Titans have made it clear that Levis is their guy as the starter, and he is a fearless gunner who can possibly provide some spike weeks for Best Ball purposes.
