Michael McDowell a DFS Tournament Play at Chicago Street Course
5 months agoMichael McDowell has earned himself a spot as one of the best road course racers in the NASCAR Cup Series, and this weekend the Front Row Motorsports driver will start from third for the Grant Park 165 at the Chicago Street Course as the No. 34 team tries to grab a win and earn a playoff spot in 2024. Priced at $8,600 on DraftKings, McDowell becomes an intriguing play on the DFS site because he does not have much Place Differential potential, and most players are going to pick the bigger name guys starting up front, such as Kyle Larson, Shane van Gisbergen, and Tyler Reddick, while passing over McDowell. However, McDowell was fifth-fastest in five-lap average here at Chicago during practice on Saturday and finished seventh here last season. If he can pull off a top-five finish on Sunday, he could end up being a great tournament pick on DraftKings, as his sub-$9,000 salary on the DFS site doesn't require a lot of dominator points to hit value.
