Jasson Dominguez is a fantasy baseball waiver wire stash for Week 16 (2024). Target Jasson Dominguez as a top prospect free-agent waiver wire pickup for fantasy baseball.
BALLER MOVE: Monitor in All Leagues
CALL-UP ETA: September 2024/Early 2025
ANALYSIS: It has been a tough year for New York Yankees' top prospect, Jasson Dominguez. He missed the start of the 2024 campaign after undergoing Tommy John surgery late in 2023. As a result, Dominguez didn't see his first action of the season until May 14.
However, after just 23 games, the 21-year-old outfielder landed back on the injured list. Dominguez injured his oblique on a swing on June 15, which is expected to sideline him for eight weeks. So, the earliest we can anticipate seeing MLB Pipeline's No. 25 overall prospect is at the end of August. That's why he doesn't necessarily need to be stashed in most leagues.

Reports are he felt something in his side during a check swing and is getting tests run

The talent is obviously there for Dominguez, who was hitting .356 with six HRs, four doubles, and 13 RBI across 23 minor league games this season. However, this recent oblique strain significantly sets him back for a potential call-up this season. Still, fantasy managers should monitor his injury status over the next few weeks because if he does get called up in September, he is a must-add.
