Brandon Lowe Crushes Eighth Home Run
5 months agoTampa Bay Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe went 3-for-5 with a walk, three runs and a solo home run in Thursday's victory versus the Kansas City Royals. Lowe has missed some time this season with injuries, but has shown the power he has in the past when healthy. Lowe's 421-foot home run in the top of the sixth inning would be his eighth of the season. In addition to his power, Lowe has driven in 25 runs with a .229 batting average in 131 at-bats. The veteran will help managers with power out of the second base position, but at the cost of a sunken batting average. Depending what managers are searching for, Lowe makes for a fine option in deeper mixed leagues.
