Colt Emerson Stellar Since Return
5 months agoSeattle Mariners shortstop prospect Colt Emerson went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI on Wednesday evening to extend his current hitting streak to four games. Emerson was on the 7-day injured list with a foot fracture since May 16 and just returned to action on June 27. Through his first extended look at Single-A ball, the former 22nd overall pick in last year's MLB Draft has posted a .288/.442/.425 line with two home runs, 16 RBI, three stolen bases, and a 19:15 BB:K ratio in 22 games. The 18-year-old has been improving his prospect stock since joining the minor leagues last summer and is now ranked as the 43rd-best prospect in all of baseball on MLB Pipeline.
