Ricky Tiedemann Pitches Well In Rehab Start
5 months agoToronto Blue Jays pitching prospect Ricky Tiedemann (elbow) pitched in his third rehab start for Single-A Dunedin on Wednesday. The lefty tossed 3 2/3 innings and allowed three hits, one run, no walks and six strikeouts. Tiedemann, 21, is the club's top pitching prospect and MLB Pipeline ranks him as the 45th prospect overall. The issue for the young pitcher thus far in his career has been staying healthy as he has never thrown over 78 2/3 innings in a season and that came in his first professional season, 2022. Tiedemann drew a lot of praise this spring and many thought he could break camp with the big-league squad, but injuries continue to hold him back. Tiedemann has thrown the ball very well in three rehab starts and could prove to be an option for the Blue Jays later this summer. For now, he remains a better option in dynasty leagues.
