Jonathan Isaac Signing $84 Million Extension With Magic
9 months agoOrlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac has renegotiated his contract with the team, agreeing to a five-year extension. Per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Isaac will be paid $84 million for his services. Isaac was set to enter the final season of a four-year, $69.9 million deal. The 26-year-old has spent much of his NBA career in the treatment room but has proven himself as a fantastic defender. Despite averaging only 15.8 minutes across 58 games in 2023-24, Isaac led the Magic with 1.2 blocks. He also lowered opponents' shooting accuracy when guarding them by six percent to share a league-best mark with Defensive Player of the Year Award winner Rudy Gobert. Offensively, Isaac contributed 6.8 points off the Magic bench while grabbing 4.5 rebounds.

2 months agoAccording to Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel, Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac (illness) has been downgraded to questionable for Friday's matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies. Isaac could miss the second leg of a back-to-back due to an illness after posting two points and one rebound in 11 minutes of work against Atlanta on Thursday. Jonathan Isaac Downgraded To Out Versus Hornets
2 months agoOrlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac (back) is unavailable for Wednesday's matchup with the Charlotte Hornets. Isaac carried a questionable tag earlier but has since been downgraded to out for the contest. Wednesday's game will be the first the 27-year-old has missed since December 10th. With Isaac sidelined, it gives some of the Magic's younger players a chance step up like Caleb Houstan and Jett Howard. However, both players should not be seen as a viable fantasy option for tonight's game.

Jonathan Isaac Won't Return On Tuesday
3 months agoOrlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac (illness) has been ruled out for the rest of Tuesday's game against the Toronto Raptors. Isaac was questionable coming into this game due to an illness, but he ultimately decided to suit up. He only managed to play about five minutes before exiting the contest due to this illness. The Magic have ruled him out for the rest of the night, which is a bummer for anyone who started him in fantasy leagues. Trevelin Queen and Wendell Carter Jr. figure to see an increased roles for the rest of the game and possibly longer if Isaac misses more time.
