Top Fantasy Football Dynasty Players For Each Team: NFC East

Welcome back to the top dynasty players on each team. Today, we are breaking down the NFC East. This division is loaded with young superstars and fantasy stalwarts.

I am dividing the teams by division in this series of articles and order them based on last season’s rankings. Ultimately, I’ll identify these players and break down the situation that may impact these players in the future. 

This division has been surprisingly competitive over the last few years. Comprised of two Super Bowl contenders, one mediocre team, and a rebuilding franchise, this division has a little of everything. Without further ado, let’s see who the top dynasty players are.

Dallas Cowboys

CeeDee Lamb (WR, DAL)

We start this article with the most obvious dynasty star. CeeDee Lamb exploded last season, finishing with the fifth-most fantasy points of any player (Half PPR) and the second most for non-QBs (behind Christian McCaffrey).

Although we all knew Lamb had elite talent, this was the first season where everything seemed to click. The good news is that whether Cowboys fans like it or not, the team hasn’t changed. As a result, Lamb is locked in for another massive season on a team that will likely be in the top five for passing attempts.

To be honest, Lamb is my top overall player in redraft and best ball formats. The situation was perfect last year and you could argue it is even better with the departure of Tony Pollard and Michael Gallup. For dynasty purposes, the bigger question will be if the team can find playoff success and continue to run it back. However, if it falls short (once again) and takes a different approach, it potentially hinders Lamb’s future production.

Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Hurts (QB, PHI)

This should be another easy choice for the team’s top dynasty player. However, there have been a few rumors circulating that Hurts could be on thinner ice than we expect. Whether these reports are rooted in Kenny Pickett supposedly outperforming him in training camp or if there is a bigger underlying issue, it’s anyone's guess.

Thankfully, he has a generous contract that he is attached to, which should provide long-term security. Personally, I don’t buy any of the rumors circulating in the league. We have seen Hurts be an elite QB both as a rusher and passer. This offseason, they also extended both A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, further securing his long-term outlook. If you can use the reports to somehow acquire Hurts at a slight discount, this might be the last opportunity to do so.

New York Giants

Malik Nabers (WR, NYG)

One of the few rookies that top their team in dynasty value, Nabers is by far the most valuable player on this roster. He might be the only player of dynasty value on this team. 

After he landed with the Giants, some may be scared off his ability to produce for fantasy. However, I think Nabers is one of those prospects who will find success regardless of the team around him. Nabers has the elite route running and electric playmaking ability that reminds me of Ja'Marr Chase when he entered the league. 

The good news about this team not having many playmakers is that the offense should run through Nabers. Whether Daniel Jones can return to his 2022 form or not may play a role, but Nabers is almost a guarantee to target volume his way to fantasy production.

Washington Commanders

Jayden Daniels (QB, WAS)

I find Jayden Daniels fascinating. Not only does he possess elite rushing ability, but you could argue the best part of his game is his pocket passing. It’s not often these two abilities collide and is even rare for a player to succeed at both at the NFL level.

Despite possessing the ability to become a top-10 dynasty quarterback after his first season, I have a few worries. Although I try to avoid projecting injuries for players, I find myself terrified of Daniels’ ability to stay healthy. This may come as a surprise since he managed to stay healthy in college. However, Daniels has a full “highlight” reel of plays where defenders use him for tackling practice (check the tweet below). Unless he figures out how to avoid contact regularly, it’s hard to see his current rushing technique be sustainable at the NFL level.

Either way, Daniels is a promising young QB and is set up to be the future of this franchise. With Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson to throw to, he could find success early in his career.
