Haydn McGeary On Power Surge
5 months agoChicago Cubs first base prospect Haydn McGeary continued his power surge on Monday for Double-A Tennessee. McGeary went 2-for-4 with a walk and solo home run. The home run would be his fourth in his last three games as McGeary continues to swing a red-hot bat. For the season, McGeary is now hitting .216 with 10 home runs, 36 RBI and four stolen bases. McGeary shows good plate discipline at the dish and his large 6'6 frame has provided him with some of the best power in the Cubs system. Despite the Cubs offensive woes, McGeary doesn't project to be a name in the big-league conversation until next season.
