Gavin Sheets Back In Action For White Sox
5 months agoChicago White Sox outfielder Gavin Sheets (heel) has returned to the team's starting lineup on Saturday, serving as the designated hitter while batting cleanup against the visiting Colorado Rockies and right-hander Cal Quantrill. Sheets was removed from Wednesday's game early against the Los Angeles Dodgers due to a bruised left heel and missed the last two games as a result, but he's back in there now and in the heart of Chicago's lineup. The 28-year-old left-handed slugger doesn't really move the needle all that much in fantasy, especially on a really bad White Sox team, while slashing .243/.339/.410 with a .749 OPS, seven long balls, 28 RBI and 22 runs scored in 239 at-bats. In 10 career at-bats versus Quantrill, Sheets has two hits (one homer) and two RBI.
