Jorbit Vivas Extends Hitting Streak To Five Games
6 months agoNew York Yankees infield prospect Jorbit Vivas went 3-for-4 on Thursday evening with two singles and a home run to extend his current hitting streak to five games. During this stretch, Vivas has tallied at least two hits three times and launched two long balls. This is the 23-year-old first extended look at Triple-A, as he logged only 26 games at this level at the end of last summer. This season, he holds a solid .253/.400/.389 line with a 21:24 BB:K ratio compared to last summer, where he posted a .225/.339/.294 line with a 15:19 BB:K ratio. In addition, Vivas began the season on a cold stretch through April which has slightly negatively affected his ratios. Vivas has a strong chance to reach the major leagues in the second half of the season and could be worth a speculative add in AL-only formats when given the call.
