5 months agoHouston Astros outfield prospect Luis Baez was 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI for High-A Asheville on Thursday. The Astros No. 2 prospect is putting together a nice month at the plate with five homers and 21 RBI with a .315 batting average in June. The 20-year-old out of the Dominican Republic has fared well at High-A this season with a .293 batting average, 12 homers, and 47 RBI. A ways off of a major league debut, Baez could earn himself a promotion to Double-A by season's end if the Astros want to be aggressive with his minor-league progression.
