Aidan Smith Extends Hitting Streak With Three-Hit Performance
6 months agoSeattle Mariners outfield prospect Aidan Smith extended his hitting streak to four games with a three-hit night on Wednesday. He tallied one single, one double, and a long ball. Through his second look at Single-A ball, the 19-year-old has posted a solid .258/.377/.433 line with seven home runs, 34 RBI, 20 stolen bases, and a 41:70 BB:K ratio. This is a significant improvement when comparing it to his .184/.259/.327 line he posted last summer at Single-A. The young outfielder could become a candidate to reach High-A soon if he continues this strong production. Smith is considered the 13th-best prospect in the Seattle system on MLB.com and remains several seasons away from his major league debut.
