The Best Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Tandems for 2024 Drafts

Chris Olave - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Being successful in your fantasy football league will require drafting players who will be able to score fantasy points consistently every week as well as offer a very high ceiling of potential when it comes to fantasy scoring. The wide receiver position is the one that tends to offer the highest fantasy ceiling in a given week.

Which wide receiver duos stand out as the most dynamic in the NFL? As we look forward to the 2024 season, several wide receiver pairs are expected to make a noteworthy impact on fantasy football in 2024. These are typically wide receivers expected to be the No. 1 and No. 2 targets in their offenses and are expected to see a solid target share.

This article will examine some of the top wide receiver tandems to target in your 2024 fantasy drafts. From established veterans to rising stars, these WR combos are a blend of proven production and untapped potential. Let's dive in and see which pairings could lead your fantasy team to success in 2024. By using their current ADP from FFPC, we can see where players are being taken and what rounds you can anticipate them in.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings

Justin Jefferson - Current FFPC ADP: 8
Jordan Addison - Current FFPC ADP: 99

Justin Jefferson is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. Despite missing seven games in 2023 due to a hamstring injury, he maintained an exceptional 28 percent target share and even still played at a high level despite the loss of quarterback Kirk Cousins, who suffered a season-ending Achilles tendon injury.

In his 2023 season, Jefferson had 68 receptions for 1,074 yards and five scores. The former LSU Tiger secured his future with the Vikings, inking a four-year, $140M contract extension in early June 2024. He is set to be their franchise cornerstone for a long time.

Minnesota made noteworthy moves to address the quarterback position by selecting QB J.J. McCarthy with the 10th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Additionally, the Vikings signed QB Sam Darnold in free agency. Meanwhile, Cousins has moved on to Atlanta.

The quarterback change could bring a new dynamic to the Vikings offense. Jefferson can thrive even without an elite quarterback tossing him the ball, making him a top-tier WR1 in fantasy football. Head coach and play-caller Kevin O'Connell is one of the best in the business, and there should be a large degree of faith from the fantasy community that O'Connell will figure out ways to scheme up the ball for Jefferson in 2024.

Jordan Addison had a promising rookie campaign in 2023, recording 70 receptions for 911 yards while scoring 10 times, all with a 17 percent target share. His performance is a testament to his ability to excel even in the face of quarterback uncertainty.

As a low-end WR3 option in fantasy leagues, Addison offers plenty of upside and should be Minnesota's No. 2 target on offense while TE T.J. Hockenson attempts to come back from a torn ACL suffered late in the 2023 season. As of right now, Hockenson's status for 2024 is up in the air. He is expected to return, but at this point, no one knows exactly when that will be.

CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks, Dallas Cowboys

CeeDee Lamb - Current FFPC ADP: 3
Brandin Cooks - Current FFPC ADP: 143

CeeDee Lamb, the Dallas Cowboys' WR1, solidified his standing as the top wide receiver in fantasy football for the 2023 season after a stellar performance that led the league in receptions as he tallied 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns over 17 games.

Lamb's most notable game came in Week 17 when he posted 40.2 PPR points, further cementing his spot as a dominant fantasy investment. The former first-round draft pick from Oklahoma has continued to improve in each of the last three seasons. Lamb surpassed 1,000 receiving yards each of those years, making him a highly favorable pick in fantasy drafts for risk-averse drafters who prefer to avoid RB Christian McCaffrey in his age-28 season after such a heavy workload in each of the last two.

Lamb often finds himself taken in the top of the first round of fantasy drafts in 2024. Considering he's the primary option in a pass-heavy offense tied to an elite quarterback in Dak Prescott, it's understandable why Lamb is being drafted so high.

On the other hand, Brandin Cooks delivered decent production as the WR2 for Dallas. In 2023, the former Oregon State product played 16 games, recording 54 receptions for 657 yards and eight scores.

Although his yardage total was the lowest of his career, Cooks' touchdown tally was the highest since 2016, indicating his usefulness in the red zone. Last season, the 30-year-old wide receiver put up seven double-digit PPR games. His brightest performance came in Week 10, scoring 32.3 PPR points.

Despite turning 31 in the forthcoming season, Cooks offers outstanding value in later rounds of fantasy drafts in the 12th or 13th rounds. His role as the third-most-targeted player on the team behind Lamb and tight end Jake Ferguson ensures he will still see opportunities, especially with Dak Prescott under center.

The Cowboys' offensive scheme favors the passing game, which is ideal for Lamb and Cooks. The Cowboys released Michael Gallup, who is now in Las Vegas. Dallas has not added competition at the wide receiver position, deciding to promote Jalen Tolbert to WR3.

Lamb and Cooks will continue to be highly used in the Cowboys offense this season. Lamb's ability to convert catches into first downs was impressive in 2023. He recorded 80 first downs in 2023, double that of the next closest player on the team, which was Ferguson with 40. Cooks' eight scores tied for the eighth-most touchdowns in the league last season.

While Lamb is an early-first-round choice in fantasy drafts, Cooks is a satisfactory late-round pick who can supply depth and possible upside, particularly in games where the Cowboys' passing attack is in full swing.

Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mike Evans - Current FFPC ADP: 33
Chris Godwin - Current FFPC ADP: 74

Wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin have long been acknowledged as one of the best tandems in fantasy football as they have always produced strong performances with Tampa Bay.

Since joining the league in 2014, Evans has been at the pinnacle of productivity. After Tom Brady retired, many doubted the veteran wide receiver, but he continued to excel despite the change to a new quarterback, Baker Mayfield.

Evans played in all 17 games last season, collecting 79 receptions for 1,255 yards and a league-leading 13 scores. The soon-to-be 31-year-old possessed five fantasy games where he scored more than 20 PPR points.

Additionally, Evans had 12 games where he posted double-digit fantasy points. The five-time Pro Bowler averaged 16.6 PPR fantasy points per game in 2023. At his current ADP, Evans is a high-end WR2 who can potentially still put up WR1 numbers.

While not as prolific in the touchdown department, Godwin remains a beneficial asset in Tampa Bay's offense. He has exceeded 1,000 receiving yards in each of the last three seasons, showcasing his capability to earn yardage. In 2023, the former third-round draft pick played in all 17 games, registering 83 receptions for 1,024 yards and two scores.

Godwin posted 11 double-digit fantasy weeks and his highest-scoring game came in Week 15, gaining 25.5 PPR points. The veteran player averaged 12.3 PPR points per game in 2023. Entering a contract year in 2024, Godwin is looking to prove his worth and earn another extension. At 28 years old, he has a history of injuries, including a torn ACL and MCL in December 2021, but is currently playing at full health.

Overall, Evans' effectiveness in scoring and Godwin's reliability in acquiring yards make this duo an attractive pairing in fantasy football. Both receivers have demonstrated they can adjust to modifications in the offense and sustain productivity, even with a quarterback change.

Fantasy managers can expect Evans to continue delivering solid performances. At the same time, if Godwin can stay healthy and capitalize on his new slot role, he should provide reliable WR3 value. There is the potential for more if his scoring improves. Evans is currently taken in the mid-third of fantasy drafts, while Godwin is selected late in the sixth or early in the seventh.

Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed, New Orleans Saints

Chris Olave - Current ADP: 24
Rashid Shaheed - Current ADP: 147

The two top receivers for the New Orleans Saints are an intriguing wide receiver duo for fantasy football as each wide receiver offers a distinctive value for fantasy football managers.

Chris Olave is the most fantasy-relevant player on the Saints and has consistently functioned at a high level since joining the league. In 2023, the gifted wideout played 16 games, registering 87 receptions for 1,123 yards and five scores. He completed the season as WR16 in PPR leagues.

Olave gained 12 double-digit fantasy games and exceeded 20 points twice last season and his capability to rack up yardage makes him a trustworthy late-second-round pick in fantasy drafts.

Olave's red-zone production has been a concern, as he saw only 12 balls in his direction in that spot last season. Although he wasn't present much in the end zone, Olave did post the fourth-most deep targets in the league with 32.

With Michael Thomas no longer on the roster, Olave starts this season as the clear-cut WR1 in the offense. The WR2 on the roster is Rashid Shaheed, who provides a distinct kind of value as a boom-or-bust player.

In 2023, the soon-to-be 26-year-old was active for 15 games, tallying 46 receptions for 719 yards and five touchdowns. Shaheed, an undrafted wideout, possessed six double-digit fantasy games. His best game was in Week 8, totaling 24.3 PPR points.

Last season, Shaheed averaged 9.4 fantasy points per game. In his 2023 season, Shaheed gained over 1,000 air yards on just 75 targets, with a 14 percent target share. Additionally, the wideout had 31 catches that went for over 20 yards. Shaheed's ability to create big plays makes him an appealing prospect for fantasy managers searching for late-round upside.

Right now, Shaheed is going in the early-to-mid-13th round of fantasy drafts. Despite dealing with a thigh injury that sidelined him for two games last season, Shaheed is set to return as a significant contributor to the offense, especially with Thomas's departure.

The Saints' offseason activities also solidify Olave's and Shaheed's roles on the offense, as the signings of free agents Cedrick Wilson Jr. and Equanimeous St. Brown only bring depth to the roster. Olave's consistent yardage and target volume make him a reliable WR1 option, while Shaheed's big-play potential provides worthwhile upside as a late-round pick.

As we have seen in recent years, investing in coaches or offensive coordinators from the Kyle Shanahan tree has provided a lot of value in fantasy football. Mike McDaniel supercharged the Miami Dolphins offense in 2022 and offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik did the same for the Houston Texans in 2023. A former understudy of Shanahan's, Klint Kubiak, is now set to take the reins as the Saints' new offensive coordinator, which could prove to be a huge boost for everyone on the unit.
