The Sacramento Kings traded point guard Davion Mitchell and forward Sasha Vezenkov to the Toronto Raptors for forward Jalen McDaniels on Thursday, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The trade gives the Kings some flexibility, opening up a roster spot. Mitchell was the No. 9 pick in 2021. Last season he averaged 5.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 15.3 minutes per game. Vezenkov averaged 5.4 points and 2.3 rebounds during his first season in the NBA. McDaniels averaged 3.4 points and 1.6 rebounds in his only season as a Raptor.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller

According to Fox 40's Sean Cunningham, citing league sources, Sacramento Kings forward Sasha Vezenkov plans to finish the contract he agreed to with the team last offseason. Mihalis Stefanou of EuroHoops.net reported Vezenkov wanted out of Sacramento while indicating the 28-year-old was considering heading back overseas. However, Cunningham denied the report's validity, with a league executive calling it "off base." The 2023 EuroLeague MVP averaged 5.4 points and 2.3 rebounds while shooting 37.5% from deep in the 2023-24 campaign. It's likely teams will inquire about a possible trade this offseason. But with the Kings' roster not set in stone for 2024-25, Vezenkov carving out a meaningful role in Sacramento isn't out of the question.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

According to Mihalis Stefanou of Eurohoops.net, citing sources, Sacramento Kings forward Sasha Vezenkov informed the team he doesn't intend to return. While it's unknown if the 2023 EuroLeague MVP wants to remain in the NBA or head back overseas, it appears he won't be suiting up for Sacramento in 2024-25. Vezenkov, who signed a three-year, $20 million deal with the Kings last summer, averaged only 5.4 points and 2.3 rebounds while shooting 37.5% from deep in 42 games. With that said, there should be more updates on this situation heading into the offseason. But Vezenkov has plenty of talent, so he could turn things around if he stays in the NBA and gets playing time, whether it be in Sacramento or with a new team.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

Sacramento Kings forward Sasha Vezenkov has been upgraded to active on Sunday and will suit up against the Utah Jazz. The rookie hasn't played since February 9 and hasn't consistently seen the floor enough to establish a cemented role in the rotation. Vezenkov may not see a lot of playing time right away since Trey Lyles also returns to action on Sunday. Since Malik Monk (knee) and Kevin Huerter (shoulder) are both out for an extended time, the rotation could look different each night depending on matchups. Vezenkov isn't recommended as a must-start in fantasy lineups at this moment.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBaller

Sacramento Kings forward Sasha Vezenkov (ankle) will not play against the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday. The 28-year-old has been nursing an ankle injury for over a month. His next opportunity to return is on Friday in a rematch with the Mavericks. He hasn't really been missed since his exit from the lineup, as he has averaged just 5.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 0.4 assists across 35 games this season.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller
