Noelvi Marte Rejoins Major-League Roster
Noelvi Marte is set to rejoin the major league roster and make his 2024 season debut on Thursday against the St. Louis Cardinals. Marte was hit with an 80-game suspension on March 8 after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs. The 22-year-old got a small taste of the majors last summer, where he posted a .316/.366/.456 slash line with three long balls, 15 RBI, and six stolen bases in 35 games. Marte struggled through his rehab assignment with Triple-A earlier this month with a poor .151/.151/.170 line. Fantasy managers should not worry about inserting Marte back into their lineup, as he should be viewed as the primary third-base option in Cincinnati going forward. As a result, Jeimer Candelario will now see the majority of his starts at first base. Marte should be rostered in all leagues, as he can be a five-category contributor throughout the second half of the season.

Noelvi Marte Placed On 10-Day Injured List
Noelvi Marte (oblique) was placed on the 10-day injured list prior to Wednesday's contest against the Atlanta Braves. In a corresponding move, the Reds recalled outfielder Rece Hinds from Triple-A Louisville. Marte was scratched from Tuesday's lineup due to an oblique strain but will now miss at least the next two weeks. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status while he is sidelined, but given his injury, he will likely remain sidelined longer than the 10-day period. After a disappointing 2024 campaign, Marte enjoyed a strong start to the 2025 season, holding a .294/.342/.515 slash line with three home runs and four stolen bases. While the 23-year-old is sidelined, fantasy managers should expect Santiago Espinal to see most of the opportunities at the hot corner.

Noelvi Marte Scratched From Tuesday's Lineup
Noelvi Marte (side) was scratched from Tuesday's starting lineup on Tuesday against the hosting Atlanta Braves at Truist Park due to left-side pain, according to The Cincinnati Enquirer's Charlie Goldsmith. Santiago Espinal got the start at third base and is fifth in the batting order, with Austin Wynns starting at first base and hitting seventh against Braves left-hander Chris Sale. Spencer Steer is in left field and batting sixth. Marte has been getting regular playing time for the Reds with both Christian Encarnacion-Strand (back) and Jeimer Candelario (back) both on the injured list, and he's taken advantage by hitting .294 (20-for-68) on the year with three home runs. He's gone 11-for-39 with a homer, nine RBI and two steals in his last 10 games. If the 23-year-old Dominican ends up missing extended time, Espinal and Gavin Lux could split time at the hot corner.

Noelvi Marte Sitting Out On Saturday
Noelvi Marte (rest) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Saturday's game against the Washington Nationals. Marte was on fire at the plate for about a week where he hit nearly .500 at the plate. Now, Marte is beginning to slow down with the bat and only has two hits over his last four games. That being said, Marte will get the night off on Saturday and will likely be back in the lineup on Sunday. As a result, Santiago Espinal will start at third base and bat eighth versus right-hander Trevor Williams on Saturday.

Noelvi Marte Stays Hot With RBI Triple Monday
Noelvi Marte continued his stellar offensive performance in Monday's 3-1 win over the Cardinals. The 23-year-old went 1-for-2 with an RBI triple and two walks. The former fantasy prospect got called up in the second week of April and has been on a tear, slashing .370/.431/.696 with three home runs, 16 RBI, and four stolen bases in 51 plate appearances. He is currently rostered in just 49 percent of leagues. While it is unrealistic to expect any hitter to maintain production at this level, there may not be much more opportunity for fantasy managers to add Marte if he keeps things up.
