5 months agoThe Kansas City Royals placed veteran infielder Adam Frazier (thumb) on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to June 23) with a right-thumb strain on Monday and selected the contract of infielder CJ Alexander from Triple-A Omaha in a corresponding move. Frazier suffered his thumb injury during a collision with Garrett Hampson in Saturday's loss to the Texas Rangers and will now need at least 10 days to heal up. There's a chance we won't see the 32-year-old until after the All-Star break in mid-July. Frazier was only really worth a roster spot in AL-only leagues, as he's currently hitting .211 (31-for-147) with two homers and 10 RBI in a part-time role in KC. Michael Massey (back) should return to starting duties at second base for the Royals now that he's back from his own stay on the IL.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
