Fernando Tatis Jr. Heads To The Injured List
5 months agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. (quadriceps) has been placed on the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's game. This is a tough loss for the Padres, who are already dealing with multiple injuries. Manager Mike Shildt said that Tatis is dealing with a slight stress reaction in his quad. The team hasn't given a timetable for Tatis' return, but he'll likely miss multiple weeks of action. In a corresponding move, Bryce Johnson has been recalled from the minors. With Tatis out, the Padres figure to use some combination of David Peralta and Jose Azocar in right field, with Peralta on the strong side of a platoon against right-handed pitching.
