5 months agoNew York Mets outfielder Harrison Bader and third baseman Mark Vientos are both out of the lineup on Saturday at Wrigley Field against the hosting Chicago Cubs. Brandon Nimmo is manning center field and batting second, with DJ Stewart drawing into the lineup in left field and batting fifth against Cubs right-hander Jameson Taillon. Veteran infielder Jose Iglesias is starting at third base and occupying the nine-hole in the lineup. Bader could use the rest after going hitless in nine at-bats with four strikeouts in his last three games to drop his season line to .262/.308/.374 with four homers, 27 RBI and nine stolen bases. Vientos is also struggling of late at the plate, going hitless in nine at-bats with three strikeouts in his last two games played.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
