Is Marvin Harrison Jr. a Fantasy Football WR1 in 2024?

Marvin Harrison Jr. - Fantasy Football Rankings, College FB, WR, NFL Draft Sleepers

Breaking down whether the Cardinals rookie wide receiver quarterback Marvin Harrison Jr. will be a WR1 for the upcoming 2024 fantasy football season. Exploring Harrison Jr.'s 2024 fantasy football outlook.

The Arizona Cardinals drafted highly touted wide receiver prospect Marvin Harrison Jr. with the fourth overall pick in this year's draft. The son of former Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison enters the NFL with high expectations and is projected to have a monster rookie season.

Fantasy football players worldwide have also taken notice of Harrison Jr., and they will actively pursue him during the drafts. He will be the clear-cut Cardinals WR1 this upcoming season.

However, the question remains: can the Ohio State product be a WR1 for your fantasy football teams this year? Harrison Jr. has Hall of Fame potential, and nobody will be surprised if he hits the ground running and becomes the next Larry Fitzgerald Jr. for the Cardinals. Let's take a look at his 2024 fantasy outlook.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Marvin Harrison Jr. 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook

Marvin Harrison Jr. declared for the 2024 NFL Draft after three stellar years at Ohio State. In his final year in college, the 21-year-old wide receiver had 67 receptions for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns, averaging 18.1 yards per reception.

In 2022, everyone saw how explosive the 6-foot-4 star was with C.J. Stroud as his quarterback, and similar things are expected of him when he takes the field alongside Kyler Murray in Arizona. The Cardinals didn't have a clear-cut WR1 after DeAndre Hopkins' departure, but now, with Harrison Jr., expect their offense to take a big leap.

In the 31 games that DeAndre Hopkins played with Kyler Murray as his quarterback, he had 194 catches for 2,443 yards and scored 17 touchdowns. Murray has proven in his career that he can make others around him better, and many believe that Harrison Jr. can have a Ja'Marr Chase-esque rookie season. The Bengals star had 81 catches for 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns in his rookie season, and Harrison Jr. has the talent to replicate that.

He currently has an average draft position of #19. If you fail to land the likes of Tyreek Hill, Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase, CeeDee Lamb, A.J. Brown, and Puka Nacua, then the Cardinals star can still be a solid WR1 for your fantasy football teams.
