Shohei Ohtani Homers, Gets On Base Four Times Friday
5 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani went 2-for-2 with two walks and his 22nd home run of the season in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Angels, recording two RBI and a run scored. It was his fifth multi-hit performance in his last six games, going 12-for-23 over that stretch (.522) and raising his season average to .322. As good of an offensive season as the 29-year-old had last year, he's outpacing it this year as he's been able to focus solely on hitting. His K% has come down 4.5%, which has resulted in a higher BA, a slightly higher wOBA, and the highest wRC+ of his career to this point (187). The 2x MVP is currently the highest-scoring hitter for fantasy with a superb .322-22-55-60-16 line on the season.
