One and Done Selections - The Travelers Championship
In this feature, our golf staff of Joe Nicely, Spencer Aguiar, Joe Idone, Matt Miller, Byron Lindeque, and our special guest will provide their weekly golf picks every Wednesday. The purpose of this article is to present you with alternative options to consider and hopefully make your selection a much easier process weekly. With that plan in mind, let's get started!
Joe Nicely - Patrick Cantlay
It kinda feels like "Groundhog Day" with Patrick Cantlay this week. Earlier this year we saw him perform well at a major championship - T22 at the Masters - and follow up that performance with a great outing on a course he loves - T3 at RBC Heritage - the very next week in a Signature Event.
Now, we get Cantlay coming off his best career major finish - a T3 at the U.S. Open in which he gained 10.2 strokes T2G - and heading to a TPC River Highlands layout on which he's thrived since shooting a then-course record 60 as an amateur in 2011. The Californian has now reeled off five consecutive top-15 finishes in the Travelers since 2019, including a T4 last year.

Spencer Aguiar - Justin Thomas
Alternate - Wyndham Clark
I decided to make a switch from one J.T. to the next.
While I don't necessarily trust Thomas this week, I do think we need to take advantage of his high upside and low ownership in contests, especially considering that this is one of the final big purses of the year.
Yearly Earnings - $7,358,928
Yearly Cuts Made - 19/22
Byron Lindeque - Ludvig Aberg
Just like I forgot to send through my Cam Smith write up to Spencer, even after typing it up, so did my selection forget to hit his driver, having one of his worst performances off the tee in many recent majors.
This week we are going to keep this short and sweet! Ludvig Aberg. If there is a course that we can potentially compare TPC River Highlands to, in an effort to make our case for our guy, it is Sea Island. A narrow course with a lack of length that will require exceptional scoring from that range. Ludvig has found his groove on these kinda courses in the past and we can expect him to thrive once more at a venue that could not be more apt for his skill profile that is a combination of distance and accuracy off the tee with a putter that is poised to provide tons of bridies this week!
Yearly Earnings - $6,978,367

Mia The Model - Keegan Bradley
