Lakers "Monitoring" Options At Center
6 months agoThe Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly looking to strengthen the center position for the next campaign. According to NBA insider Ian Begley, the Lakers are "monitoring their offseason options at center closely." Begley adds that the team could add a center to the mix via the draft but might also look for a new big man in free agency. An additional big would allow Anthony Davis to pick up more minutes in his preferred power forward position. Davis is coming off a big year in which he averaged 24.7 points with a career-high 12.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.2 steals, and 2.3 blocks.
