Nestor Cortes Blanks O's Over Six Innings Tuesday
5 months agoNew York Yankees left-hander Nestor Cortes turned in an excellent start in a 4-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday. Cortes tossed six scoreless innings, allowing five hits while walking none and striking out six to earn the win. The veteran lefty improved his record to 4-5, to go along with a 3.36 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and 86 strikeouts spanning 93 2/3 innings of work. Cortes has been a solid fantasy starting pitcher yet again this season and should continue to add to his win total while pitching for the AL East-leading Yankees.
