Veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins was playing some of the best football of his career before suffering a torn Achilles in Week 8 of last season. That Week 8 contest proved to be his last game as a Viking, as he went on to sign a blockbuster deal with the Atlanta Falcons in the offseason.
His availability and effectiveness will obviously affect his fantasy football value, but it also affects the outlooks of Bijan Robinson, Drake London, Kyle Pitts, Darnell Mooney, and more. That said, it's time to check in on his latest injury update.

Kirk Cousins Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Cousins has expressed confidence he'll be full-go by training camp at the end of July since his arrival in Atlanta in March. That sentiment didn't change throughout the offseason program, and Cousins' participation in all aspects of the team's offseason program is promising.

Cousins said he did everything at organized team activities, but it will be worth watching if he continues to do everything in training camp. The 35-year-old signal-caller will be in a non-contact jersey (as quarterbacks always do) and everything should be business as usual. (Falcons.com)
Kirk Cousins 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook
While Cousins has been one of the most prolific passers over the last decade, that does not always equate to high-end fantasy success. He's been a consistent low-end QB1 or high-end QB2 for years, and that's likely where he'll finish in 2024, barring an injury.
The seven-time 4,000-yard passer has an FFPC ADP around the QB18 spot, so he's likely to pay off at cost. He's a picture-perfect QB2 in Superflex and two-QB formats, but fantasy managers should shoot for mobile QBs with rushing upside in single-QB formats. If you don't want to pay up for Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, or Lamar Jackson, you can take a shot on cheaper players like Anthony Richardson, Kyler Murray, or Jayden Daniels.

Cousins is also riskier than he's been in prior seasons coming off his injury, and although his young supporting cast is promising -- it doesn't beat what he had in Minnesota. It won't be a shocker if he falls into the mid-QB2 range in his 13th pro campaign.
