5 months agoChicago Cubs shortstop prospect Ed Howard has struggled with some bad luck with injuries since being selected in the first round of the 2020 draft, but he has been healthy thus far and is on fire of late. Since May 26, Howard has hit an astounding .415 with an impressive .974 OPS for High-A South Bend. Overall in 43 games, Howard has hit .245 with 10 RBI and six stolen bases. Injuries have derailed Howard off many Cubs top prospect lists, but he is still 22 years old and is three games away from playing in the most games he has played in since his rookie season. Long term, Howard provides great defense but will still need to improve his offense to have an impact in the fantasy community. It's a nice story to see him healthy after some tough luck, but Howard is best suited on the waiver wire in dynasty leagues.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
