5 months agoKyle Larson had another electrifying drive in yesterday's inaugural Iowa Corn 350 until being caught up in a crash when Daniel Suárez spun him into Denny Hamlin. Larson won his fourth pole of the season and although eventual winner, Ryan Blaney, passed him a couple of times, Larson still had a 4-2 lead change record in the race and was leading under caution on lap 84 when he made a surprise decision to pit shortly after pitting on the Stage 1 break. Despite that, he drove through the field to win Stage 2 before losing the lead on the Stage break when Chris Buescher stayed out of the pits, setting up the conditions for his crash on the ensuing restart. Although the crash dropped him to 34th and cost him the points lead, he still ranked 5th in speed and overtook Denny Hamlin for the best speed percentile this season.--Sean Wrona - RotoBaller
