Joey Logano Finishes Sixth In The Iowa Corn 350
6 months agoJoey Logano finished sixth in the inaugural Iowa Corn 350 at Iowa Speedway. Overall, Sunday was a solid but uneventful race for the former two-time Cup champion, something that has been a trend for him this season. While he did move up five spots in the field, he did not lead a single lap and only scored 44.8 DraftKings points, falling below value on his $9,300 salary. Perhaps the most interesting thing that came from Sunday's race regarding the Team Penske star was how low his ownership was. Despite having earned a reputation for being the "it" driver when NASCAR goes somewhere new, and even though he dominated on the last short track prior to Iowa (North Wilkesboro), he only got 13% ownership in DraftKings featured contest. Whether the low ownership was the result of the DFS community losing faith in the 34-year-old or whether there was some other factor at play remains to be seen. However, this will be something that should be monitored moving forward, particularly this weekend as NASCAR heads to New Hampshire, a track considered to be one of Logano's home tracks.
