Coby Mayo Launches Two Homers In Rehab Start
5 months agoBaltimore Orioles third base prospect Coby Mayo (rib) was 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI for High-A Aberdeen Sunday on a rehab assignment. Mayo is 6-for-13 in four games on his rehab stint, with three homers and six RBI. The power display not only proves he is approaching full health but is also a reminder of the potential that the 22-year-old possesses. This season, he has 16 homers and 43 RBI in the minor leagues with a .303 average and 1.034 OPS. The fourth-round pick in the 2020 draft boasts some serious power and, in a loaded Orioles minor-league system, is one of the standouts this season. If Baltimore can make room for him on the major league roster, he could do some serious damage in that lineup. He could be a significant boon to fantasy managers in the second half.
