DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks (6/15/24): Showdown Slate

Hey, RotoBallers! I want to introduce myself formally, my name is Jon Irvin. Some of you may know me from the Discord channels and know I love breaking down DFS slates, especially in the MLB and NHL. I enjoy the deep dumpster diving and look forward to helping find the low-owned, overlooked, and unwanted plays. I predominantly play on DraftKings, so some of my picks are more tailored to their point/price system but a good spot is a good spot regardless of platform. 

Today's DFS content will be for the NHL Playoffs for both DraftKings and FanDuel for Saturday, June 15th, 2024. We're nearing the end of the NHL season with tonight potentially being the last game of the year. It's been a great run and I'm glad you all enjoyed the ride!

NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 6/15/24

Welcome to the NHL Finals Game 4. Up to this point, it looks like Florida is far and away the superior team and aiming for the sweep in Edmonton tonight. Tonight's build should reflect on whether you believe the Panthers can close it out, or if the Oilers have any fight left in them. Paying up for either Bobrovsky or McDavid at CPT will make you look towards the bottom for your flex players, luckily we have a lot of options on the cheaper side of players that have been playing great during the Finals.

DraftKings and FanDuel Captain - NHL DFS Picks

Sergei Bobrovsky - DK $15.3K 

Bob Rov has been nothing short of stellar during the entire playoff run and looks to be next to be on a different level for the Finals with a .955 save percentage and a minuscule 1.38 GAA. If you are thinking FLA sweeps tonight then it will be on the shoulders of their netminder to keep this powerful EDM team at bay for one more game. This is a DK-only play, FD doesn't have goalies in their Showdowns.

Connor McDavid - DK $16.5K || FD $16K

Simply put one of the best players in the game, if EDM wants to extend this series any further they're going to need a big game from their captain.

Evan Bouchard - DK $12.0K || FD $11.5K

Consistency breeds success and Evan has been a constant supplier of shots and blocks every game. If you want to pay down at CPT, Bouchard is the key to fitting in more top-end forwards.

DraftKings and FanDuel Flex Players- NHL DFS Picks

Sam Bennett - DK $7.2K || FD $9.5K

Bennett like many other Panthers has had a great series and metrics show that it should continue with a .91 GF (goals for) differential, he's due to light the lamp one more time.

Evan Rodrigues - DK $5.2K || FD $9.0K

Surprisingly FLA2 has been carried by the success of ERod instead of Matt Tkachuck, this helps because he's been the cheapest option allowing us to both run a full FLA1 line as well as running a stud in the CPT spot.

Aaron Ekblad - DK $5.4K || FD $7.5K

Ekblad has been productive on both sides of the blue line accumulating 6 shots on goal to go with 9 blocks.

Mattias Ekholm - DK $6.2K || FD $9.5K

Besides McDavid and Bouchard, Mattias has had one of the better series for the Oilers with 7 shots on goal as well as 8 blocks.

Vladimir Tarasenko - DK $6.0K || FD $8.0K

Vlad has found the fountain of youth for the finals, leading the Panthers with 9 shots on goal.

DraftKings and FanDuel Top Full Line - NHL DFS Picks

FLA 2 - Line matching has shown this line has had the luxury of lining up against the defensive sieve of Nurse/Broberg. If they continue to share ice against this pairing, their bound to have yet another game full of scoring chances.
