Michael Harris II Injures Hamstring Friday Night
6 months agoAtlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II (hamstring) was pulled from Friday's game against the visiting Tampa Bay Rays due to left-hamstring tightness. Harris suffered the injury while running the bases in the first inning. Before departing with a trainer, Harris recorded a hit in his only at-bat and was replaced in center field by J.P. Martinez. The Braves can ill-afford to lose Harris for any amount of time with Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) already out for the year with a torn ACL. Fantasy managers should check back later on Friday or early Saturday for more news on the severity of the 23-year-old Harris' injury. He came into Friday's contest hitting .247 (64-for-259) with five homers, 20 RBI and eight stolen bases in 2024. Martinez could become Atlanta's primary center fielder if Harris is forced to the injured list.
